Janette Hall Professional Training and Development Scholarship

Applications for the 2016/17 round of the Janette Hall Professional Training and Development Scholarship (the Scholarship) are open from Tuesday 29 March 2016.

The OTA offers the Scholarship in memory of Janette Hall, a South Australian Hospital senior nurse who was actively involved and associated with organ and tissue donation for many years.

The Scholarship commenced in 2011 and provides opportunity for health professionals working in the donation and transplantation sector to attend professional training and education activities both in Australia and internationally.

Applications are open to eligible individuals, including those currently employed and working as DonateLife Network Donation Specialist Nursing, Donation Specialist Coordinators, Donation Specialist Nursing Coordinators, Transplant Recipient Coordinators, or eye and tissue banking staff, who are involved in donation and/or transplantation.

Applicants are able to propose an activity which will enhance their skills and experience in organ and tissue donation for transplantation and has a clear relevance to implementation of the national reform agenda.

Eligible Scholarship Activities may include, but are not limited to, attendance at conferences or training courses (internationally or in Australia) or visits to large metropolitan hospitals or international donation agencies.

Applications close Friday 22 April 2016. For interested applicants, please contact your local DonateLife Agency for further information.
